Players who visit Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino will have a new poker room to enjoy starting tomorrow when the venue unveils the Poker Night in America poker room. The 6,000 square feet of space will open on Wednesday and offer 28 poker tables, with a commemoration ceremony that will feature Matt Glantz, the poker room ambassador, as well as Dick Vermeil and Vince Papale, Philadelphia Eagles legends.

New Poker Night in America poker room to open at SugarHouse Casino

In celebration of the new poker room, the casino will be hosting the SugarHouse Poker Night Classic. This tournament series will feature 35 events that will take place over a 20 day time frame. The series will kick off on the same day as the poker room opening, on the 23rd, and continue until the 11th of April.

Events of the series will have buy-ins starting at $95 and going as high as to $1,100, making the events affordable as well as provide a high-end offering. The production crew of Poker Night in America will be at the SugarHouse to film a high-stakes game that will feature Joe McKeehen, the World Series of Poker Main Event winner. On April 11th, the final table of the main event will be set up for live streaming as well.

SugarHouse Casino General Manager Wendy Hamilton commented on the new poker room by stating that being the first-ever Poker Night in America Poker Room is a ‘big honor’ and in addition to offering high-caliber tournaments, fans will also get to see some of the best poker players in the world competing regularly in Philadelphia.

A perk of the new poker room is that all of the seats at the poker tables, all 252, will have a built-in charging station. Players will be able to stay connected as they enjoy poker events and tournaments. For tomorrow, the dedication of the poker room will feature special events with fans being able to meet Papale and Vermeil. The first 100 guests to register to compete in the Poker Night Classic will receive a gift for participation.
